Two Burnaby Schools are winners in a national music contest involving thousands of students from coast-to-coast. Capitol Hill and Marlborough Elementary schools took the top prize in their categories, with a primary class at Capitol Hill also capturing a third prize win in the , put on by CBC Music.
There are only 11 public school categories for various ages in the contest and when classes from all over Canada are competing, capturing 2 of the 11 top honours shines a light on the talents of students and the strength of music education in the Burnaby School District.
