With a focus on joyful learning, our Spring Break Camps will provide new opportunities for students while supporting the needs of families.
The camps are for children in Grades 4 to 8 and will run from March 16 to 20 or March 23 to 27, with the option available to book both weeks.
District Principal Cesare Martino is one of the staff leading the overall project. His portfolio also includes responsibility for 午夜夫妻福利剧场 Session.
We know from our experience with 午夜夫妻福利剧场 Session that students like the chance to try something new, and parents like that their children are learning from teachers in a school environment. We saw Spring Break Camps as a natural place to expand that opportunity.鈥
Helena Readman is also leading the project. The Principal of Early Learning and Child Care says the interest from staff in being a part of it has been tremendous.
鈥淭eachers have many areas of expertise to offer that they don鈥檛 necessarily have time to delve into during the school year. They鈥檙e excited about the chance to spend a week or two focusing on one area that they鈥檙e passionate about.鈥
With classes such as rock band, cooking, art, and sports, children can try a new skill, enhance their learning and have fun. The camps will take place at four secondary schools, which also gives the students a chance to get exposed to a high school environment and make use of the facilities 鈥 such as home economics rooms for learning life skills like cooking and sewing.
Registration opens February 17.
