This is never done directly at school level where the focus is on students. Please do not contact the schools directly regarding rentals. This would also apply to any changes or questions you may have about your booking.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_toggle][et_pb_toggle admin_label=&#8221;How long does it take to confirm a booking?&#8221; title=&#8221;How long does it take to confirm a booking?&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;3.0.105&#8243; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>We make our best effort to respond to booking requests within 3 business days. Assuming that all the required information is provided on the application form, it typically takes 3-5 business days for the Facility Rentals office to verify availability and obtain approval for a booking. At that point, the Facility Rentals office will then email the user group, and the user group then has 3-5 business days to procure their supporting documents. The booking will then be processed and an invoice sent for digital signature and payment.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_toggle][et_pb_toggle admin_label=&#8221;How accurate is your availability calendar?&#8221; title=&#8221;How accurate is your availability calendar?&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;3.0.105&#8243; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>The availability calendar is a live document that provides a general idea of what could be available and is constantly changing throughout the day. There are also many factors that contribute to whether a space is available or not. Once applications forms are submitted and we have all the information required, the Rentals Office will work with the school&#8217;s administration and any other relevant teams to confirm availability for you.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_toggle][et_pb_toggle admin_label=&#8221;Can I visit the school to see the facilities?&#8221; title=&#8221;Can I visit the school to see the facilities?&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;3.0.105&#8243; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Please contact <a href=\"mailto:Facility.Rentals@burnabyschools.ca\">Facility Rentals<\/a> to check availability first. Once confirmed, we will coordinate an appropriate time after school hours to view the space. Schools should not be contacted directly. Please note quantities are limited. Groups are responsible for doing their own setup and teardown so please book time slots accordingly. Custodial service for setup\/teardowns can be booked at extra cost.<\/p>\n<p>PE\/athletic equipment such as score clocks, volleyballs, basketballs, soccer balls, etc are not included in the rental. You are expected to bring your own. Some schools may approve the use of volleyball nets and posts but this must be confirmed at time of booking. Groups are responsible for setting up nets\/posts and putting away any equipment after the event.<\/p>\n<p>Audio-visual equipment is not included in the rental but groups may bring their own projector, screen and\/or speakers if approved by the school administrator. Groups are responsible for setting up their own A\/V equipment. Please note that the School District does not provide large power outputs or special outlets for audio-visual equipment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_toggle][et_pb_toggle admin_label=&#8221;Are there any specific rules around gym usage?&#8221; title=&#8221;Are there any specific rules around gym usage?&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;3.0.105&#8243; open=&#8221;off&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>All organizations and\/or groups, when using the gymnasium for sporting activities are limited as below:<\/p>\n<p>Approved Indoor Activities &#8211; Badminton, Basketball, Gymnastics, Handball, Martial Arts, Netball, Volleyball, Wrestling<\/p>\n<p>Activities Permitted with Restrictions (please contact our office for details) &#8211; Indoor Soccer, Indoor Softball, Pickleball, Soft Lacrosse<\/p>\n<p>Activities Not Permitted &#8211; Baseball, Cricket, Dancing, Fencing, Floor Hockey, Ringette, Roller Blading\/Roller Skating, Weightlifting<\/p>\n<p>Proper footwear must be worn at all time &#8211; white soled running shoes, preferably ones used only in indoor facilities (non-marking running shoes) No street shoes or black-soled carbon-based running shoes allowed. This confirmation represents our formal agreement to reserve the space, and from that point forward, all policies are in effect.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The digital signature process is not intended to initiate or confirm the contract itself. Instead, it serves as a means for the District to ensure that groups have reviewed and acknowledged our gym use guidelines and terms of use.
